Integritat is a secular, humanist, nonprofit foundation dedicated to transforming childhood education through an integrated approach that combines STEM disciplines with art, music, meditation, and qigong. Founded in 2016, the foundation works with children and young people across diverse communities in Mexico, fostering curiosity, creativity, and integrity as the foundations of personal development. Its programs are built on learning through play, and on the conviction that technical and emotional development are not separate paths but a single one.
About
Integritat takes its name from the Catalan word for integrity, a word that holds within it the idea of being whole. The prefix "in" points inward, toward introspection and internal coherence. The root "tegri" speaks to wholeness and incorruptibility. The suffix "tat" names that wholeness not as a momentary quality but as a permanent state of being. The foundation's name is also its program: to help children grow into people whose thoughts, words, and actions are in alignment.
Founded in 2016 with the dream of transforming how children learn, Integritat was established on the belief that education should prepare not just capable minds but complete human beings. Too often, education systems treat cognitive development and character formation as parallel tracks, rarely integrated. Integritat was built to reject that division. Its learning model brings together science and natural exploration, creative technology and programming, engineering and design, applied mathematics and visual thinking, and art and music as universal languages, not as separate subjects, but as disciplines that illuminate one another and together build a richer understanding of the world.
The foundation serves communities with an emphasis on sensitivity and inclusion, meeting children where they are and supporting the discovery of each child's unique potential. Meditation and qigong are part of the curriculum not as optional additions but as core practices, grounding children in body awareness and stillness as the prerequisite for engaged, focused learning.
Integritat's guiding belief is simple and demanding: integrity is not a value taught in a lesson. It is a way of living that must be modeled, practiced, and experienced from an early age. A child who grows with that foundation, whose curiosity is honored, whose creativity is cultivated, and whose character is formed with care, is a child prepared to face the world with confidence, compassion, and authenticity.
Integritat exists to grow that child.
